Angular Developer

Job Details

We are looking for an Angular Developer with strong hands-on experience in building modern, scalable, and complex web application UIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of frontend architecture, UI development standards, application flow, API integration, state management, and clean coding practices. The candidate should be capable of understanding an existing product/application, analyzing business and functional requirements, designing the appropriate UI solution, and independently developing and integrating new features.

This role requires someone who is not only comfortable writing Angular code but also understands how a product UI is designed, structured, developed, optimized, maintained, and integrated with backend systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, responsive, scalable, and reusable user interfaces using Angular.
• Develop new product features based on business and functional requirements.
• Understand existing application architecture, codebase, UI patterns, and application flow before implementing changes.
• Translate product/business requirements into technically sound UI solutions.
• Participate in requirement understanding, clarification, estimation, technical discussion, and implementation.
• Design appropriate UI architecture and component structures for new features.
• Build reusable components, modules, services, directives, pipes, and shared UI libraries.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Handle API requests, responses, error scenarios, loading states, validation, authentication, and authorization.
• Implement application features such as:
  • Login and authentication o Role-based access and permissions
  • Session management o State management o Forms and validations o Search, filtering, sorting, pagination o       Dashboards and data visualization o       CRUD workflows
  • Notifications and error handling o Multi-step workflows
• Understand and implement application navigation and end-to-end user flows.
• Maintain clean, modular, readable, and maintainable code.
• Follow established coding standards, design patterns, development standards, and frontend best practices.
• Use Git/version control systems effectively and maintain proper branching, commits, pull requests, and code history.
• Review code and participate in technical discussions to continuously improve application quality.
• Identify UI performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
• Optimize Angular applications using appropriate techniques such as lazy loading, change detection optimization, reusable components, efficient API calls, and bundle optimization.
• Debug and troubleshoot UI, API integration, browser, and application-flow issues.
• Work closely with backend developers, product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Understand backend/API dependencies sufficiently to identify integration issues and design the frontend accordingly.
• Contribute to improving existing UI architecture and development processes.

Required Technical Skills

Angular

• Strong hands-on experience with Angular 2+ / modern Angular.
• Good understanding of Angular architecture and application structure.
• Components, modules, services, directives, pipes, routing, guards, interceptors, and dependency injection.
• Reactive Forms and form validation.
• RxJS and asynchronous programming.
• Observables, Subjects, operators, subscriptions, and error handling.
• Angular lifecycle and component communication.
• Understanding of change detection and Angular performance optimization.
• Lazy loading and modular application design.
• Reusable and configurable component development.

UI / Frontend Development

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design.
• Experience building complex product UIs, dashboards, forms, tables, workflows, and data-heavy interfaces.
  Understanding of UI/UX principles and frontend usability.

• Experience with reusable UI components and design systems.
• Good knowledge of CSS layouts, Flexbox, Grid, responsive breakpoints, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Understanding of accessibility and web standards.
• Ability to convert UI/UX designs into high-quality production-ready interfaces.
• Experience with UI libraries such as Angular Material, PrimeNG, Bootstrap, or similar is desirable.

API & Application Integration

• Strong experience integrating REST APIs with Angular applications.
• Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling.
• Experience with API request/response models and data transformation.
• Understanding of asynchronous API workflows.
• Experience handling loading, empty, success, and failure states.
• Good understanding of authentication mechanisms such as JWT/token-based authentication.
• Understanding of frontend/backend data flow.

State Management

• Good understanding of application state and data flow.
• Experience with RxJS-based state management.
• Experience with NgRx, Signals, or other state-management approaches is desirable.
• Ability to decide when state should be local, shared, cached, or globally managed.

Frontend Architecture

• Ability to design maintainable frontend architecture.
• Understanding of modularization and separation of concerns.
• Component-driven architecture.
• Reusable/shared component and service design.
• Understanding of design patterns applicable to frontend development.
• Proper separation of UI, business logic, API communication, and state management.
• Ability to work with and improve an existing frontend architecture.
• Understanding of scalability and maintainability when designing new features.

Version Control & Development Practices

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Git.
• Experience with Git branching, merging/rebasing, pull requests, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to maintain clean commit history.
• Experience working in a collaborative development environment.
• Understanding of code review practices.
  Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Product Development Skills

The candidate should demonstrate a strong product-oriented mindset, including:

• Ability to understand why a feature is required, not just how to implement it.
• Ability to understand user journeys and application workflows.
• Ability to identify dependencies between different features/modules.
• Ability to understand existing product behavior before making changes.
• Ability to identify edge cases and handle them appropriately.

• Ability to balance functionality, performance, maintainability, usability, and development effort.
• Ability to develop features that can scale as the product grows.

Performance & Quality

• Understanding of frontend performance optimization.
• Ability to identify unnecessary API calls and UI rendering.
• Understanding of lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and efficient data handling.
• Experience optimizing large/complex Angular applications.
• Understanding of browser developer tools and debugging.
• Awareness of memory leaks and RxJS subscription management.
• Knowledge of unit testing using tools such as Jasmine/Karma, Jest, or similar is desirable.
• Understanding of basic frontend security practices such as XSS prevention, secure token handling, and input validation.

Good to Have: Graph Database & Backend Understanding

Knowledge of backend systems and databases is a good-to-have, particularly:

• Basic understanding of graph databases such as Neo4j.
• Understanding of how graph data is structured and queried. Basic knowledge of graph query languages such as Cypher.
• Understanding of nodes, relationships, properties, and traversal concepts.
• Understanding of how data flows between:

UI → API → Backend Services → Database → API → UI.

• Basic understanding of backend architecture and service communication.
• Ability to understand API contracts and backend dependencies.
• Basic understanding of how database queries can impact application/API performance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
